I found this lovely tag on @thissplendidshambles.com! Apparently, Megan on Goodread's made this tag. Tags are my favorite posts to fill out. Today is my brother's birthday and I have about an hour to kill before I have to go to his party. Since I have a little bit of time to kill... I thought I would get a post done on my blog.

I have a list of tags that I want to do in my blog planner. So, I thought I would get one done. This one seemed interesting.

1. Do you get sick while reading in the car?

I actually don't get sick which is really surprising because I have the worst gag reflex. My nausea is usually horrible and it's super easy to get me to throw up. Maybe, it's because I trained myself to read in the car at a really young age. I have always brought a book everywhere with me since I began reading.

2. Which author’s writing style is completely unique to you and why?

There are way too many to list. The main ones would be J.K. Rowling, Taylor Jenkins Reid, Judy Blume, and Beverly Cleary. I think every author is unique in themselves. Each author has a distinct writing voice. Not to mention very rich characters.

3. Harry Potter Series or the Twilight Saga? Give 3 points to defend your answer.

Harry Potter. A whole magical world. A complicated plot that is so unique... Horcruxes for example! Like how did J.K. Rowling even come up with that? Finally, the book shows you the power of good vs evil. How love always wins in the end.

4. Do you carry a book bag? If so, what is it in (besides books…)?

I wouldn't exactly call it a book bag. I carry a purse with me everywhere that I always have a book in it. Also, my wallet, keys, cellphone, chapstick, and usually gum is in my purse.

5. Do you smell your books?

Of course. That's my favorite thing about books their smell. I love the smell of books.

6. Books with or without little illustrations?

I like both. I don't prefer one or the other.

7. What book did you love while reading but discovered later it wasn’t quality writing?

I can't think of anything. What is quality writing anyways? It's all preference. Who's to say someone's writing isn't of "quality?" Yes, some writers are better than others but writing is writing. I applaud anyone who writes. Or anyone who has the determination to finish a book. It takes a lot of work to write a book period.

8. Do you have any funny stories involving books from your childhood? Please share!

I can't think of anything.

9. What is the thinnest book on your shelf?

The Problem of Pain by C.S. Lewis.

10. What is the thickest book on your shelf?

I am pretty sure it's It by Stephen King.

11. Do you write as well as read? Do you see yourself in the future as being an author?

Yes, I do. My novel is in the works. It has been for a while now. One day, hopefully, I will finish it and get it published. I just have to write it and try not to be so lazy. It's hard juggling my blog and writing it. Especially since my blog takes up so much of my time and writing each week. Also, I prefer writing for my blog over writing my novel. It's a lot of work to write a book.

12. When did you get into reading?

Since I started reading and for as long as I can remember... when I was around two or three years old. I have always loved books. I started going to the library frequently with my parents when I was a toddler.

13. What is your favorite classic book?

To Kill A Mocking Bird by Harper Lee it's also my favorite book. My life is forever changed because of it. It taught me to be a better person in life.

14. In school was your best subject Language Arts/English?

Yes, it was. I always got A's.

15. If you were given a book as a present that you had read before and hated…what would you do?

I don't hate a lot of books. Sure, I dislike some.... but if I was given something I didn't like I would still act surprised then I would give it to someone else that would want it. Or I would donate it. This has never happened though because I have my wishlist on Amazon that most of my friends and family get ideas from. They know I have a lot of books so they never want to get me something I already have and risk it. Or they just ask me what I want.

16. What is a lesser-known series that you know of that is similar to Harry Potter or the Hunger Games?

The only thing I can think of is The Giver by Lois Lowry but it's not really lesser-known.

17. What is a bad habit you always do while blogging?

I just get distracted a lot and find myself looking at other things on the internet. It takes me forever to finish a post sometimes because of it.

18. What is your favorite word?

I don't think I really have one. I like the word astonishing or exuberant.

19. Are you a nerd or a geek?

Both are kind of the same thing.... but I would have to say, nerd.

20. Vampires or Fairies? Why?

Fairies. I love them so much. They make me smile.

21. Shapeshifters or Angels? Why?

Angels. I don't really have a specific reason. I just think they are special.

22. Spirits or Werewolves? Why?

Spirits for sure. I love a good ghost story. I am obsessed with them! They are some of my favorite books to read by far.

23. Zombies or Vampires?

Zombies, even though I have not read one zombie book yet. I feel like that would be really cool to read.

24. Love Triangle or Forbidden Love?

Love triangles. I am a sucker for them.

25. AND FINALLY: Full on romance books or action-packed with a few love scenes mixed in?

Full-on romance. Romance is one of my favorite genres. Lately, I have been living vicariously through them since I don't have a significant other and I am not dating anyone.
