My Rating System:
★★★★★
I FREAKING LOVE THIS BOOK MORE THAN ANYTHING! A NEW FAVORITE. Close to perfection. I would recommend to anyone and if I don't own a physical copy of the book... I need it now! The writing style, characters, and plot were perfect. This book had no flaws.
★★★★
I really liked it. Not perfect, has only minor flaws or things I did not enjoy but overall I really enjoyed the characters and plot. Just not good enough to fit the category of an all-time favorite book. I would still buy a physical copy if I didn't own it. I would recommend it to other readers. I still had a lot of fun reading the book.
★★★
So-so read. Average. There were things I liked and things I didn't like. It was just an average read. Not the worst book that I have ever read but certainly not the best either. I would recommend only to certain people and not to everyone. I had some issues with the plot, characters, or writing style. Don't care to own or not own book.
★★
Ugh! I did not really enjoy the book but I didn't hate the book either. Some aspects of the book really bothered me. The story just fell flat but still intrigued me enough to finish or read. I would not get a print copy. I generally would not recommend it to readers.
★
WHAT THE HECK?! I did not like this book. I would never buy the book or own my own copy. I do not recommend to anyone. I want to run and scream and throw the book across the room. This book made me very upset. I don't even know how I finished this book!

The reviews I post are my own opinions and are written as objectively as possible. If I give a book a negative review it is in no way connected to the author personally. I am not attacking anyone. These are just my honest to god thoughts and opinions. Do not take them personally. Everyone has different tastes and views.
All books that have been reviewed have been purchased by me or given to me for free by the author/publisher. I will never receive compensation from someone to write a dishonest review. All 5-star books are my personal favorite books.
I only receive compensation to advertise books on the sides of my blog and where stated and from affiliate links. I have the right to accept or not accept a book to be featured on my blog. All reviews are honest on my blog.

However, please note that I do prefer print copies to e-copies, but will read both. For e-copies, Kindle books are preferred. I do not take review requests anymore. I am a mood reader. Please, check out my contact page if you would like to send me your books. I am always accepting book mail. However, I cannot guarantee a review. I love getting book mail. This does not guarantee a review though. However, I still accept all book mail and it may be reviewed if sent. My preferred genre is romance and thrillers but I will read anything from any genre that sparks my interest. I have the right to turn down a review offer. Please realize, as of now, I have thousands and I mean thousands of unread emails that will never go answered with requests. For this, I am sorry but the amount of bookish emails I get is insane!
I always cross-promote all of my book reviews on Goodreads, Amazon, and Bookbub to help support authors in all of their writing endeavors.

As of now, I only personally request books to review. Please understand. If you want to send me a physical copy you are more than welcome to. However, I cannot guarantee a review.
The best way to get in touch with me is via my facebook or twitter page because I have thousands of unread emails.
Genre's or books I do not accept:
- science fiction
- anything math-related
- sports that do not involve romance
- cars
- Zombies
- Werewolves

Hi Emily.
ReplyDeleteI've come to you via Carrie's Reviews.
I note that you're not accepting books at the moment.
Are you open to/interested in interviews at present?
I'm a free verse poet with 2 collections recently released and a third one on the way. I'm a little different to most, I think. The books are:
Small Town Kid - a free verse memoir of growing up in rural Australia in the 1960s and 70s.
Devil In The Wind - free verse voices of the victims and survivors of our catastrophic Black Saturday bushfires in Victoria (Australia) in 2009
Coming later this year is - The New Asylum - a memoir of psychiatry, about my lifelong association with psychiatry from childhood through a 40 year career as a psychiatric nurse. I think it will make an impact.
I'm happy to send all details and/or review copies if you're interested, but I did wonder about an interview as a way to get some exposure to a new audience.
My main poetry blog and Author page are Wordpress hosted: https://www.frankprem.wordpress.com is my poetry blog and https://www.FrankPrem.com is my author site.
Cheers,
Frank
I would be interested in an interview about the psychiatric memoir :) Go ahead and shoot me an email.
DeleteHi Emily! I have a romcom coming out in April this year, Ways to Improve Bailey. I'd love it if you'd consider it for review. Here's the blurb:
ReplyDeleteBailey has just about had it with her brother and his stupid list of ways she needs to improve, especially when that list is the reason she's stuck going on a date with the weirdest guy at the Froyo shop: Tanner.
But the date— and the guy, for that matter—, turn out to be very different than Bailey expected.
As Bailey and Tanner get to know each other better, Bailey is forced to face all those imperfections she's been ignoring for years.
There's no doubt she has what it takes to get over herself.
The question is will she do it?
Hey girl :) I would love a copy if you have one
DeleteI had to laugh when you said that you do not read anything math related.
ReplyDeleteWell, there are math heavy books or novels surrounding math related subjects. Just not my thing....
