Would You Rather Book Tag

Here's another book tag that I found via @dulivre that I thought would be fun to do. Who doesn't love a good game of would you rather?

READ ONLY TRILOGIES OR STAND ALONES
I honestly prefer stand alones. One finite story appeals way more to me than a bunch of books that are a continuation of each other. There are very few series that I completely finish. Unless the book was a four-star or higher for me... I will not continue on in the series.

READ ONLY FEMALE OR MALE AUTHORS
As far as authors go, I tend to gravitate more towards female writers. Probably because I am female and can relate the most to their writing style. However, I have no personal preference. A good writer is a good writer!

SHOP AT BARNES AND NOBLE OR AMAZON
I love going into Barnes and Noble and looking around. Especially, at their new release shelves to see what just came out that I want to read. The Barnes and Noble editions are beautiful and some of my favorites when it comes to classic novels. However, I find their store to be a little overpriced... and this girl is cheap when it comes to her books and shopping. Sadly, most of my book buying ends up happening online via Amazon for amazing deals and free prime shipping.

ALL BOOKS BECOME MOVIES OR TV SHOWS
Lately, I have been preferring books becoming tv shows. Most movies do not live up to the book. It's hard to condense a book into a two hour or less film. Tv shows have a lot more screen time hours to portray the book and show more backstory.

READ 5 PAGES PER DAY OR 5 BOOKS PER WEEK
If I could read five books a week that would be absolutely amazing! I wouldn't be able to live with just five pages per day. This girl needs way more than that. Especially since I have sleeping issues and need to read to be able to fall asleep at night.

BE A PROFESSIONAL REVIEWER OR AUTHOR
Can I say both? hahaha. If I had to pick though, I would pick published author. It has always been a dream of mine since I was a little girl. Way before I even knew what a book review was.

READ ONLY YOUR TOP 20 FAVORITE BOOKS OR
ALWAYS READ NEW ONES THAT YOU HAVEN'T READ BEFORE
Honestly, I would rather read new books that I haven't read before. I think I would get tired of reading the same thing over and over again. This girl likes escaping into many different worlds and scenarios.

BE A LIBRARIAN OR BOOKSELLER
I would love to be a librarian. Both fields are hard to get into these days since there are not as many jobs anymore.... which is very sad. The only downside is having to go to school to become a librarian.

READ ONLY FROM YOUR FAVORITE GENRE OR ALL GENRES EXCEPT YOUR FAVORITE GENRE
I would only want to read from my favorite genre because more than likely I will enjoy the book. I wouldn't want to read something I didn't like in a genre I do not normally read.

ONLY READ PHYSICAL BOOKS OR ONLY READ EBOOKS
I don't really like ebooks. For sure I would only want to read the physical book. This girl loves holding and looking at the cover of a book. Plus, that bookish smell is to die for.

Well, there you have it! What would your answers be? I would love to know your thoughts in the comments down below.
xoxo,

  1. I feel the same way about series. Unless it’s REALLY good, I won’t continue with it. I’d rather read a bunch of standalones than a mediocre series.

    1. Yeah, I feel like there's so many books that should have been just a standalone instead of dragging the story out...

  2. I don't really like ebooks, either! And I definitely prefer stand-alones over series, I tend to forget about the next books coming out, and then I'm behind!

  3. I already did this, you may check out mine, https://alysinbookland.wordpress.com/2017/07/18/would-you-rather-book-tag/. If I can only be a librarian, I would choose it than the career I should have.
