Siri, Who Am I?

Lately, my mental health/depression has been all over the place. It was a hard month for me. With the loss of a dear friend of mine that I had known since grade school.... put me over the edge as far as being sad. Every single time that I feel sad, I have to remind myself that it is okay to feel that way. Not every single day is going to be rays of sunshine and rainbows. Life will hit you unexpectedly.

My Life with the Walter Boys

In case you are new to my blog... I have been dealing with chronic anxiety and depression from a very young age. I won't go into my specific diagnoses at this time... but it hasn't ever been easy to deal with. Mental health issues can be very gripping. There are days when my anxiety and depression are so bad that I am afraid to leave my house. People who do not suffer from mental health issues do not always understand what I am going through.

A new year brings a good reason to start cleaning up my Goodread's shelves again. As you know, my Goodread's TBR has gotten very much out of hand over the last year. So, I started this new blog series to encourage myself to go through all of the titles on my lists and get rid of the books that no longer interest me. It's been a great tool. This is my third post in the series. Right now, I have over 800 books on my TBR list.

I love scouting out new book releases. Throughout the year there are always so many new books that I cannot wait to get my hands on. February is always a great month for new romances because of Valentine's Day. Don't fret though because there are also some thrillers coming out that look amazing too. Man, I am such a book nerd it's not even funny.

26 Thoughts On Turning 26

My birthday is on the 28th of this month and I cannot believe that I am going to be 26 years old. I have no idea where the time went. Unfortunately, that means I am now too old to be on my dad's health insurance... I wish you could be on your parent's health insurance as long as they would let you. It causes a lot of problems for people.

I love looking at my stats. Stats are a great way to see your trends when it comes to reading and just blogging in general. 2019 was a great year of reading! My blog also grew a lot this year. I made blogging a main priority this year and I hope it showed.

December Wrap Up

December came and went super fast. Honestly, I am glad that it is over. Holidays are always stressful and full of activities in my family. I felt a whirlwind of emotions this holiday season for sure. The worst thing is that one of my friends died in a terrible car accident. So, my emotions have been kind of blah lately.
