When your rich, handsome best friend asks you to be his fake girlfriend… Say no. One of the wealthiest self-made men in New York needs a woman to help secure his spot at the helm of his venture firm. Problem is, Ben doesn’t want any girlfriend... He wants me. It will never work. First, we’d have to lie to our families and our friends. Second, I have my own problems in the boardroom. Third, he’s incapable of a healthy relationship, while I’ve been in love with him for ten years. It’s an impossible choice: Bail on the friend who got me through the hardest times of my life... ...Or pretend to fall for the man who already owns my heart. If this fake love turns real, we risk losing everything. But the chance to touch him might be too much to resist. TWISTED LOVE is a steamy, emotional friends-to-lovers, fake relationship romance from USA Today bestseller Piper Lawson! A standalone in the MODERN ROMANCE series.

Faking a relationship with your best friend only to realize you have loved him the entire time.
When Daisy's best friend Ben asks her to pretend a relationship with him for his work she can't refuse. However, Daisy has been attracted to him forever. Lots of banter and steamy moments ensue.

The main character Daisy is one tough chick! She has an amazing relationship with her little sister that I couldn't help but love.... but she is also a twin. However, the twin has long been missing in action. I would have loved to see more of her side to the story.

The story has tons of twists and turns that I did enjoy despite the story being sort of predictable and slow-moving. I was rooting for the main couple the entire time though. I love how both characters realize that the best relationships come off of friendships. How your partner is also supposed to be your best friend.

I was so close to giving this novel four stars.... it just sort of dragged on a bit for me. I didn't care about the character's jobs and the book revolved around their work-life a lot. I wanted more moments with both of their friend groups. Those were the parts of the book that I enjoyed the most. I also would have loved more backstory.

All and all Twisted Love was a pretty satisfying read. Not draw-dropping amazing but still enjoyable. I did love that HEA though! If you like friends to lovers stories than I would give this one a try.
