October Wrap Up

It's Halloween as I am sitting here writing this post. I have nothing exciting planned for the day. There's a tornado warning for Eastern Pennsylvania tonight with wind gusts up to 50 mph! This girl is staying under the covers with her little Shih Tzu. I have never been the partier anyways. Being out in the country, my Grandparents never get trick or treaters. That's the only downside to being out in the middle of nowhere... you don't get to see all the little cute kids in costumes.

I still dressed up Tinkerbell in her Halloween dress though.

I am rocking out to some Halloween music on my Halloween Spotify playlist.

This girl read four books this month! Not my best but not my worst. Especially considering this month I was pretty busy taking care of my Grandmother after having a knee replacement.

Books Read:

Favorite Book:

She's The Worst by Lauren Spieller. I loved the sister aspect of this book. It was just such a cute and fun read. The ending had a good conclusion.

Biggest Letdown:

The Boyfriend App by Katie Sise. This was nothing that I expected. It was just weird. I am surprised that I actually finished it and didn't DNF it. There were many things that disturbed me.

Book Reviews Written:

This month, I completed a lot of discussion posts fifteen, to be exact. This was probably one of my best blog writing months ever. How to create instant happiness in your home was my favorite post by far.

This doesn't include book blitzes, cover reveals, book tour announcements, wrap-ups, and book reviews.

Blog Milestones:

November Releases I am Excited For:

Songs Of The Month:

This Is Our Youth - Bleitch

Kissaphobic - Make Out Monday

Tv Show:

I started watching the new show Almost Family and it's so addicting. Brittany Snow has always been a favorite of mine. Plus, Emily Osment is in it too and she's hilarious. You have to check this new show out. You won't be disappointed.

Movie:

I rewatched John Tucker Must Die because it had been a long time since I had seen it. After seeing Brittany Snow in Almost Family..... I remembered the movie and decided to watch it again.

Clothing:

I am loving all things cozy right now. This mustard color is one of my new favorites when it comes to shirts.

How was your October? Did you do anything exciting? I would love to know in the comments down below. It's getting closer to Christmas! Enjoy the new month.

xoxo,

  1. Aww, look at the little Halloween dog! So cute! Too bad about the tornado warning. I hate those things. I hope you have a great November!

  2. We never have trick-or-treaters at our house either. So sad. I had a slower reading month as well; finished 4 books which is a low for me. But, on the plus side, I got to rock my new grandbaby a lot instead! I read All the Bright Places awhile back and enjoyed it, though it made me sad. I'm currently reading Washington Black (among other things) but it seems like a great novel so far.

    1. I was disappointed with All The Bright Places. It just wasn't as good as I thought the hype is...

  5. Look at like pup. I have little pup of the same breed as well and she just had her birthday October 29th and she turned 8 in human years. I am following you on Instagram. If you have time check out my wrap up here https://nrcbooks.blogspot.com/2019/10/monthly-wrap-up-october-2019.html and my blog when you get the chance.

  6. We managed to avoid most of Halloween this year because we're in France. They celebrate the religious All Saints Day on the 1st November instead and take pots of chrysanthemums to their ancestors graves in the cemeteries. Our local town cemetery looked stunning with lots of vivid floral displays :-)

    1. That's so cool. I would love to see something like that one day.

  7. I hid in my back bedroom on Halloween. The city canceled their trunk or treat event because there was suppose to be bad storms. We got a lot of wind and it turned really cold (for the south) so I was afraid that kids would come door to door instead and its too destressing for my blind dog. See my October wrap up

    1. I will check it out. The wind here was insane! No one was trick or treating in this craziness.

  8. Halloween was pouring rain and high winds here too, so I was more than happy to help a friend dismantle her art show and pack it up instead of celebrating Halloween. She's the Worst sounds fun to read, especially since I don't have a sister and you really enjoyed the relationship. I'm happy your Grandma recovered so well from surgery and you are an excellent granddaughter for helping her out.

    1. AW this was so sweet. Yeah, I don't have a sister either and enjoyed reading about a sister relationship. I always wanted a sister. Thankfully, I am gaining a sister in law in May :)
